What we collect
When you email or call us. If you contact us to list a business, request a correction or ask a question, we hold your message and contact details for as long as it takes to deal with it, plus a reasonable period for our own records. We do not add you to a mailing list because you emailed us.
Analytics. We use standard web analytics to see which guides get read and where readers give up. That involves aggregate data — pages viewed, approximate region, device type, referring site. We do not attempt to identify individual readers and we do not build advertising profiles.
Our tools. The salary calculator runs entirely in your browser. The figures you type are never sent to us or stored anywhere on our servers.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. Ever.
- We do not pass your enquiry to training providers or businesses as a “lead”. If you email us about a course, that email does not become a sales call from someone else.
- We do not run retargeting pixels or behavioural advertising networks.
Cookies
We use only what the site needs to function plus the analytics described above. There is no advertising cookie on this site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; nothing on TrueDirectory will stop working if you do.
Links to other sites
Our guides link out to training providers, colleges and businesses. Once you follow one of those links you are on their site, under their privacy policy, not ours. We have no control over what they collect — which is a good reason to read their policy before handing over your phone number.
Your data, your call
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email truedirectory7@gmail.com and we will action it within 30 days. You do not need to give a reason.
Children
This site is aimed at adults choosing courses and services. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. We will not quietly broaden what we collect and hope nobody notices.
